With volcanic ash in the soil and wide temperatures swings between day and night, the Cauca department in western Colombia is home to some of the countries most fertile coffee-growing lands. These particular beans come from the Colombian Massif, a mountain range whose altitude lends this coffee a nippy acidity and vibrant sweetness that we've developed through a dark roast to create a bold, full-bodied cup evoking flavors of dark chocolate and molasses.
