WASHINGTON, District of Columbia (January 4, 2021) - Compass Coffee has announced it is introducing pre-ground versions of its most popular coffee blends—Cardinal, Waypoint and Emblem Espresso—for sale in their cafes, on their website, and in grocery stores throughout the DMV.
“Meeting people where they are is an important part of what we do,” says VP of Corporate Development, Kuran Malhotra. “Not everybody who wants to drink Real Good Coffee at home has a grinder. And, of course, not everyone who drinks coffee at home brews it the same way. As always, the customer experience is front and center."
This move comes on the heels of a large shift into the general consumer space following the release of these same blends in single-serve formats.
"Ground coffee and single serve are just the beginning," continues Malhotra. "We're always testing new avenues of research and development, of ways to meet our customer where they are and provide the highest quality products in a variety of spaces."
Compass Coffee is known for a willingness to go above and beyond to meet its customers' needs. In response to the PPE shortage brought on by COVID-19 pandemic, the DC-based coffee roaster converted all of the equipment used to produce its house made Simple™ Syrups to produce hand sanitizer, Simple™ Sanitizer, for its normal customers as well as for the local, district, and federal governments.
