Grown on a patchwork of microlots at super high altitude, this Kenyan coffee's small dense beans burst with complex, exotic flavors that speak to the more adventurous coffee drinker. To honor this spirit, the coffee is named Lenana--after one of the highest peaks on Mt. Kenya. Wet processed and sorted by density, the beans are dried on raised beds under the hot African sun for two weeks before being given three weeks to rest and settle. This process is critical to lowering the bean's moisture content and bringing out its naturally crisp aromatic sweetness.
